Master Docker and Docker Compose to isolate your applications and orchestrate containerized microservices. Learn to write lightweight Dockerfiles, manage persistent volumes, and deploy to production.

• Understand containers, images, and essential Docker CLI workflows (run, exec, logs).
• Author production-ready Dockerfiles and multi-stage builds.
• Orchestrate multi-container stacks with isolated networks and volumes using Docker Compose.

Before you start: Basic command-line (terminal) familiarity and basic web or backend development experience (Node.js, Python...).

A first example to understand

# Démarrer un serveur web conteneurisé
docker run -d -p 8080:80 --name mon-serveur nginx:alpine
docker ps

docker run launches a container in detached mode (-d), binding host port 8080 to container port 80 (-p 8080:80) using the lightweight nginx:alpine image.

Try it: Run 'docker ps' to inspect currently running containers and check their health status.
