Terms of Service (CGU)

1. Purpose of the Service

These Terms of Service (hereinafter "Terms" or "CGU") govern access to and use of the PROJET CARTHAGE online learning platform (accessible at https://projetcarthage.com), published to provide practical, hands-on, and interactive computer programming training.

Accessing, browsing, and registering on the platform entails full and unreserved acceptance of these terms by the user.

2. Platform Access & Registration

Access to the platform is open to any natural person. The user warrants that the information provided during account creation (username, email address) is accurate, truthful, and kept up to date.

Username and credentials are strictly personal and confidential. The user is solely responsible for any activity conducted from their account. In the event of loss or suspected unauthorized access, the user agrees to immediately notify support at support@projetcarthage.com.

3. Free Tier & Carthage Pro Pass

• Free Discovery Access: Unit 1 across all 9 learning tracks is freely accessible to everyone, allowing learners to master foundational concepts with zero financial commitment.
• Carthage Pro Pass: Unlocks advanced curriculum units (Units 2 and higher), end-of-track certifications, unlimited queries with Carthago AI Tutor, real-time code sandboxes, and exclusive arena perks.
• Payment Terms: Subscriptions (monthly or annual billing) are processed securely through certified payment partner Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled prior by the user in account settings.
• Cancellation Policy: Cancellation is accessible at any time in 1 click with zero fees from My Account > Billing. Access remains active until the end of the current paid billing cycle.

4. Code of Conduct & Sandbox Environment

The platform provides compilers, sandboxes, and interactive execution environments (Python, JavaScript, C#, C++, C, Flutter, etc.). The user strictly undertakes NOT to:

• Attempt any sandbox escape, privilege escalation, or unauthorized access to underlying server infrastructure.
• Execute malicious payloads, distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attempts, or automated vulnerability scanning.
• Use bots, automation macros, or exploits to tamper with leaderboard scores or 1v1 Battle Arena duels.
• Post abusive, offensive, defamatory, or hateful messages in community spaces, leaderboards, or user handles.

Any severe violation may result in immediate and permanent account termination without prior notice or refund.

5. Intellectual Property

All content and assets published on the platform (pedagogical tracks, exercise statements, illustrations, mascots, branding, interfaces, audio, sound design, and source code) are the exclusive property of PROJET CARTHAGE or are licensed under legitimate legal agreements.

Any unauthorized copying, extraction, distribution, or public display constitutes copyright infringement and will be prosecuted under intellectual property laws.

6. Service Availability & Liability

Projet Carthage endeavors to provide uninterrupted 24/7 service availability. However, service access may occasionally be paused or restricted for scheduled maintenance, performance enhancements, or unexpected force majeure events.

7. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
